Obituary of Adam McCully

Adam Kenneth McCully, 68 years of age, of Stellarton, passed away in the Palliative Care Unit of the Aberdeen Hospital, New Glasgow on October 3, 2017. He is survived by his best friend and companion Kay Hoare; sisters, Janice (Hugh) MacLeod; Helena (Jerry) Castle; his brothers Mike and Kenny; and his daughter Mary. He was predeceased by his parents Kenneth and Euphemia (MacDonald) McCully and his sister, Patricia Marcott. He was formerly employed by Trenton Works for 32 years. He was a member of Branch 28 Royal Canadian Legion, Stellarton. He was an avid dart player and enjoyed antique cars and country music. He will be missed by his friends at Tim Horton’s for his routine daily visits, his sense of humour, love of fancy cars, especially convertibles and jokes. He will be remembered and appreciated as an honest and caring man. Adam rested at Eagles Funeral Home, Westville with visiting on Thursday, October 5. Funeral service was 11 a.m. Friday from the Church of the Holy Name, Westville with Father Peter MacDonald officiating. Burial was in the Holy Name Cemetery. In his memory, donations may be made to the Palliative Care or a charity of your choice.
