Obituary of Darlene Cake

Cecile “Darlene” Cake, 55, of Gaetz Brook, formerly of New Glasgow, passed away on November 21, 2017 in the Aberdeen Hospital, New Glasgow. Born in New Glasgow, she was a daughter of the late John and Cecile (Martin) Cake. She will be dearly missed by her wife, Lisa Rodman; son Kenny (Danielle), Dartmouth; step-son Alex; grandchildren, Makhia and Markel; brothers and sisters John, New Glasgow; Gary, Truro; Betty Dean, New Glasgow; Lee Cake- Ryan (Todd), Stellarton; Yvonne Crawford (Jack), Westville. She was predeceased by brother Freddie. Thank you to the Aberdeen Palliative Care Unit and a special thanks to Deborah Hollingsworth and her daughter Kara Hutchinson. Her family received visitors on Thursday. at Eagles Funeral Home, Westville. Her funeral service was held 2 o’clock Friday from Eagles Funeral Chapel, with Rev. Dr. Glen Matheson officiating. Interment took place in Mt. William Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations in her memory may be left at the funeral home.
