Roberta, Andy and Family:
It was with great sorrow that I learned of Rebecca's death. The world has lost a kind and wonderful teacher who was such a strong advocate for children and for the teaching of mathematics to those children. I will always have such fond memories of working with her on committees and workshops to which she brought her unique perspective and style. I am sure she will live on in the hearts and minds of all the students and teachers she impacted throughout her life's work. My sympathy is extended to all of you, her family, who were so important to her and of whom she was so proud.

On behalf of the Mathematics Team at CCRSB I want to express our deepest sympathy to Rebecca’s family. She was such a huge part of our team for so many years. She has been missed the past couple of years and will continue to be missed. Rebecca’s love for learning was evident in everything she did.
We know that her family meant the world to her and she was so proud of her nieces and nephews and loved showing pictures of the little ones.
With deepest sympathy and love, Darlene, Paul, Cindy, and Mathematics Coaches

I was very saddened to hear of Rebecca's passing. I graduated with Rebecca from NSTC in 1979 (she in the elementary program and I in the secondary program). However I really got to know Rebecca when I worked as the Mathematics Consultant at TCRSB and she as the Elementary Mathematics Consultant for CCRSB. We shared a lot of laughs and also in-depth conversations about our years at TC and also in our work as mathematics leaders. She was so passionate about her work and often spoke so highly of her family, whom she treasured dearly. I share your loss, as Rebecca was truly a wonderful person and friend. She will be greatly missed

Please accept my sincere condolences for your family's loss. As a recently retired elementary teacher, I had many opportunities to work with Rebecca. She always had so many ideas and stories to share to make teaching math so much more fun to teach. May your special memories of her provide much comfort for you.

My deepest sympathies are sent to Miss. MacDonald’s family and loved ones. She was one of my most memorable teachers from her time at Northport Elementary. Her kindness went beyond the classroom. I remember spending time in the hospital and Miss. MacDonald brought me in presents and visited me. She was truly a passionate and genuinely amazing lady and teacher. May she Rest In Peace ❤️
