Obituary of Margaret MacKinnon

Margaret MacKinnon, age 72, of Westville, passed away on Tuesday, March 13, 2018 in the Aberdeen Hospital, New Glasgow with her family by her side.

Born in Scotland, she was a daughter of the late John and Dinah (Davidson) Misener.

Margaret was a former employee at Wear Well Garments, and loved to sew and do crafts. She was a former member of Royal Canadian Legion, Stellarton, and the Ladies Auxiliary of the Westville Fire Department. She enjoyed cooking, and feeding the animals and the birds. Most of all her sons and , especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren, were her greatest enjoyment.

She will be dearly missed by sons, John (Sharon), Westville; Scott (Kim), Westville; David (Stephanie), Trenton; grandchildren, John, Matthew and Dinah; Bailey and Brennon; Kennedy and Maxwell; and 5 great-grandchildren; twin sister Maud MacDonald; sisters Elizabeth Hayden (Ken); Jacqueline MacCulloch (Roy); Patsy Misener; brothers, David (Jenny) and Byron; and a special friend Andy Dupuis.

She was predeceased by her husband Brennon; sister Georgina and brother Peter.

Her family received visitors on Thursday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Funeral service was held on Friday at 11 am  from the Church of the Holy Name, Westville . Spring interment will be in the Holy Name Cemetery.
