Obituary of Mary Fraser
Mary Louise (MacKenzie) Fraser, age 92, formerly of Gairloch, passed away on December 9, 2018 at Glen Haven Manor.
Born, January 31, 1926, she was a daughter of the late Angus and Jean MacKenzie.
She was a life long resident of Gairloch and a devoted member and elder of St. Andrew’s Presbyterian Church, Gairloch, she was also a member of the Gairloch Church Aid. Mary enjoyed knitting, gardening, and dancing at the old time dances in Lorne and time spent with her family.
She is survived by son Allan (Kim), Cole Harbour; daughters, Jean Rupp, Redwater, Alberta; Linda Cameron, Middle River; and Ruth Fraser (Bruce), Little Harbour; grandchildren, Danny (Gina), Marc (Kyla), Dwayne (Vannessa), Marianne (Alec), Jamie (Meggan), Michael (Amy), Courtney, Greg (Louise);15 great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by her husband Everett; infant son Oran; sister Isabel Murray; brother Allister MacKenzie; and son-in-laws; Wayne Cameron and Herman Rupp.
Mrs. Fraser rested at Eagles Funeral Home, Westville with visitations from 2-4 p.m. and 6-8 p.m. Wednesday, December 12. Her funeral service was held 1 o’clock Thursday, December 13 at St. Andrew’s Presbyterian Church, Gairloch with Bonnie Langille officiating.
