Obituary of Mearl (Malloy) Jordan

Mearl (Malloy) Jordan, 86 of Westville passed away on Tuesday, January 8, 2019 in the Aberdeen Hospital , New Glasgow.

Born in Country Harbour Mines, he was a son of the late Edgar and Gertrude Jordan.

Mearl was a woodsman for most of his life. He had a passion for horses, especially draft horses using them for snigging logs, horse pulls and exhibitions. He loved going to dances with his wife. He was always concerned and caring for others, enjoying visiting with family and friends.

He will be missed by his son Leo; grandson Brandon; his companion Isabel Webb; sisters Patty O’Brien, Ann Marie Rhodes, Ina Baker and brothers Wayne Jordan, Mike Malloy, Dennis Malloy, Rueben Malloy and Robert Simpson.

He was predeceased by his wife Genevieve (Elsworth) , sisters Carmie Kirkwood, Connie Deyoung and Patricia Morrison; brothers Howard Malloy and Tom Malloy and birth father Thomas Malloy.

Visitations will be held on Saturday from 11 o’clock to 1 o’clock at Eagles Funeral Home, Westville followed by his funeral service at 1 o’clock with Rev. Dr. Glen Matheson officiating.
