Obituary of Harry Bunckle

Harry Bunckle, aged 96, formerly of Durham, NS, passed away on Jan 13, 2019.

Harry was born in Leeds, England, 05 Jan 1923 to Thomas and Edith Bunckle. He emigrated to Canada after WWII in 1951 with his wife Edna (Robson) and son Geoffrey.

He joined the RCAF in Feb 1953 and spent the next twenty years serving his country. Following his retirement he returned to Pictou County where he drove school bus, which he thoroughly enjoyed, for fifteen years.

Harry was a member of St. Andrews Presbyterian Church, Westville. He enjoyed singing and was a member of the Legion Choir, the Stellarton Male Chorus, and the Joyful Noise.

He will be dearly missed by his daughter, Barbara of Sudbury, Ontario and son Geoffrey (Anne) of Yarmouth, NS, four grand children; Darcy, David, Allison, Lauren, twelve great-grand children, many nieces and nephews and their families

Harry was predeceased by his wife Edna, sisters Elsie and Olive of Leeds, England.

Harry rested at Eagles Funeral Home, Westville, with visiting on Saturday, January 19 from 10 o'clock to 12 o'clock . Private graveside service to follow in Heatherdale Memorial Gardens, Sylvester with Rev. Charles MacPherson officiating. Donations may be made to the Heart & Stroke Foundation.
