Obituary of John Wile

With a feeling of great loss the family of John Wile must share that he lost his battle with cancer. Surrounded by his family he quietly passed from his earthly home to his forever home with the Lord on Friday April 12th at his home in Westville.

John was born April 28th 1956 in Windsor, Hants to Arnold Wile & Helen (Caldwell) Wile and grew up in Leminsiter, Hants until moving to Belmont, Colchester at the age of 16 where he met his bride to be Jane (Currie) on April 15 1973 – they have been together ever since, raising their family in Crowes Mills, Colchester and later moving to Pictou County in 2010. He is survived by his wife Jane and children – Russell (Sanja MacDonald), Erin (Bryce Copp) and Ellen (Kyle Conrad); his grandchildren Caide, Jayden, Gabe & Ella-Mae; mother Helen Wile & mother-in-law Joan Currie; sister Maxine (Paul Stevens), brothers Earl (Diane), Steven (Heather), Walter (Janet) & Mark (Wendy), brothers-in-law Dan (Heather), Jamie (Michele) who are his best friends and Tim (Doug), as well as many nieces & nephews.

He was predeceased by his father Arnold, father in law Stuart Currie and grandson Kylar Conrad and is now enjoying a wonderful reunion with them.

John was self-employed working in the Ventilation & Heat Pump trade and was a hardworking man who took great pride in whatever he put his hand to. In later years he enjoyed developing a family store with Jane and their family. His family was his life and nothing gave him more pleasure than to help them achieve whatever they wanted or needed. A servant at heart he will be remembered by many for his helpful ways and insight. On behalf of John we deeply Thank everyone for their Prayers, Love and Support and wish to extend special

Thanks to the VON nurses who cared for John so kindly, the Palliative Care Team at the Aberdeen Hospital for their thoughtful dedication & aide, Dave MacLean & team at Pharmacy First, Stellarton, for going above and beyond, Chris Enns of Farm Assists, Halifax for his great belief, aide & support in Johns battle and to Special Friend Kim Clark for always finding a way to help & comfort us – each of you gave us strength and hope in his battle... he is at Peace.

A visitation will be held Tuesday April 16th at 1 p.m. followed by a 2 p.m. service at Eagles Funeral Home in Westville, Pictou County, NS.  Family flowers only, please.  Afterwards the family would love to invite you to their family store All About Ewe Wool Shop, 1822 Main Street, Westville where there will be a light lunch lovingly prepared by our Woolly Friends (our special name for our wool family).
