Obituary of Ward Salsman

Ward Salsman, 83, Tanner Hill Road, passed away on Thursday, May 16, 2019 in the Aberdeen Hospital, New Glasgow, with his family by his side.

Born in Stormont, he was a son of the late Ernest and Rose (Worth) Salsman.

Ward was an electrician by trade and was foreman of the Maintenance Dept. at Canso Chemicals until its closure.

He survived by his wife of Vivian (Hirtle); daughter Susan; sisters, Alice Baker, Dartmouth and Marg Berry, Waverley; sister-in law Lorna Salsman, Tanner Hill Road and several nieces and nephews.

Ward was predeceased by his daughter Shirley May 17, 2018; brothers, Rev. Lloyd Salsman and Melvin Salsman and brothers-in law, Dave Baker, Harland Berry, Roy, Jackie, Jim and Howard Hirtle.

There will be no visitations or funeral service by request. A private family graveside service will take place at Millbrook Cemetery.
