Obituary of Carl MacKay

Carl MacKay, age 62, of Stellarton, passed away on Friday, May 17th, 2019 in the Palliative Care Unit of the Aberdeen Hospital, New Glasgow, with his loving family by his side.

Born in Stellarton, he was a son of the late Arthur and Josie (Davidson) MacKay, of Stellarton.

Carl enjoyed his Tim Horton’s coffee and watching his favorite NHL hockey team; the Boston Bruins. He enjoyed cooking and gardening and could often be found in his backyard working the soil.

Carl will be sadly missed by his wife, Cathy (Doucette), sons; Steven and Justin (Robin) both of Stellarton; grandchildren, Bryleigh, Ethan, Kaden, Hayley and Isabella, sisters; Catherine (Len) Dalio, Boston, Mass; Jennie Harb (Gary), Edmonton, AB; and several nieces and nephews.

Besides his parents, Carl was predeceased by siblings, Elda, Charlie, Lori, Linda and nephew, Matthew.

Cremation has taken place. There will be no visiting or funeral service at request. A private family grave side service will be held at a later date.
