We were blessed with the years we shared at Berwick.
The souls of the righteous are in the hand of God. Rest eternal grant unto him, and may perpetual light shine on him.
Bill and Hilda were my next door neighbours at Berwick Camp for many years. Lots of great memories of this gentle man, who in his quiet way was a beacon to all of what a decent person should model themselves to be.
In my short time in Westville I had the privilege of meeting Bill often as he joined our choir for funeral services as well as during the summer shared services! He was a kind and gracious man!
Sorry to read of Bill's passing. He examined me for my driver's license and I also knew him when they were foster parents as I worked at Community Services/Children's Aid Society for 29 years. I remember Lois when she was a little girl. I would also see Bill at times at Tim Hortons at the Mall when he would be there with other residents of the Home in Pictou. Sincere sympathy to his family.
Uncle Bill was a wonderful man! I always think of him with that big smile on his face; his smile made us all smile too. That's how he will be remembered. Our sympathies go out to all of you.

So sorry to read of Bill's passing. He and Hilda were a major part of my childhood both as neighbours and part of my church life. He was a fine, kind and Christian participant in many activities in Westville and surrounding area. A friend and helper to anyone who needed it.
RIP Sir Bill- Bill was our first face/ voice that we met entering the gates of our first trip to Berwick Camp. His friendly welcome warmed your heart- getting to know him over the years and his family we learned that he was the pillar of the family! Through Bill we got to know all of his family and grandchildren. To Sharon and Ken and Family who we knew through Berwick Camp- ( and all the family) our condolences go out to you all. He lived a rich and blessed life and you will now cling to your memories!
