So sorry for your loss. John and I were on the same crew for quite some time and usually had breaks together. During the fall of last year(2019) John and I happened to be at the blood clinic at the same time, it had been awhile since I had seen him. I retired in 2001 and our paths didn't cross often.
During our wait at the clinic, we talked. John was always a quiet lad and you had to squeeze things out off him, but in the end, we enjoyed our few minutes together, it would be the last time we spoke. I realized he was having a tough go, but soldiered along as he always did.
John was a gentleman, a kind sole, always took care of what had to be done at work and that smirk he shared every so often was always available after a joke.
Rest in peace my friend, you are now in a good place and we have all been very fortunate to have known you.
