Obituary of John Nelson Muise

John Nelson Muise, age 61, of Union Street, Westville, passed away on Sunday, January 5, 2020 in the Palliative Care Unit of the Aberdeen Hospital, New Glasgow, surrounded by his family listening to Pink Floyd. Born in Summerside, P.E.I., John was a son of George, Northwood Manor, Halifax, and the late Maxine (DeMille) Muise. Until his retirement, John was employed with Michelin Tire, Granton, working in Z Department. John is survived by his wife, Joan (Burns), son, Jonathan, Westville; daughter, Melissa (Paul MacCarthy), Westville; sister, Eva (Armindo Nunes) and their family, Mike, Amanda, Darryl, JP, Olivia and Mike; brother, Lester (Nancy) and their family, Laura and Ben; brother in-law, Doug Ross (Irma) and their family, Mark, Beth, Rebecca, Ben, Alanna, Lauren, Sam and JoJo; special aunts and uncles, Billy and Anne Burns, New Glasgow; Glenn and Betty Williams, Pictou; Olive Keddy and Janet Strong, Berwick. Besides his mother, John was predeceased by his step mothers, Olive Muise and Ruth Muise. Cremation has taken place. At John’s request, there will be no visitation or memorial service. A grave side service will be held at the Auburn Cemetery, Westville, at a later date.
