Obituary of Ted Kelly

Patrick Theodore “Ted” Kelly, age 76, of Westville, passed away on Thursday, April 2, 2020 in the Aberdeen Hospital, New Glasgow. Born in New Glasgow, on March 1, 1944, he was a son of the late Ralph and Rhoda (Cameron) Kelly. Ted was an industrial electrician starting at Scott Paper in 1968 where he worked until his retirement with Kimberley Clark. He was a member of St. Paul United Church, where he served on the Board of Stewards until retiring due to ill health. An avid outdoors man with a great love for the forests and the oceans. With his naturally gentle manner and patience he shared his seemingly infinite wisdom with anyone lucky enough to have explored his favourite places with him. He has instilled this love into his family who will continue to explore, learn and love the beauty that nature has surrounded us with. He will be dearly missed by his highschool sweetheart and soul mate, wife Dorothy “Dot” (Inglis); daughter, Annette Kelly-Condon (Shaun); son, Mike (Wendy); cherished grandchildren, Kelly and Jake Condon; Linda’s girls, Alisha (Mike), Andrea (Marc), Chelsey (Matt), and Catherine (Adam); brothers, Donnie (Carol); Brian (Noreen); and sisters-in-law, Marina LeBlanc and Chris Pettipas (Bill). Ted was predeceased by his parents, younger brother Harold in childhood and foster daughter Linda Bailey - Millen. For the safety of family and friends, there will be no visitation or funeral service at this time. A memorial service will be held at St. Paul United Church at a later date. Memorial donations may be made to St. Paul United Church or a charity of one’s choice. Arrangements are under the direction of Eagles Funeral Home, Westville.
