My Dearest Sharon, Roy, and families,
Somehow when we lose our Moms, our souls seem to cry out in a true sense of being left orphaned. Cherished are those nurturing moments that we personally felt were ours alone to carry as memories. Mothers have a way of making us feel that we are the special one, regardless of how large her brood.
Knowing that your mom raised such a large and caring family and having only met her once, I was blessed to witness her tremendous strength as she was being moved down the aisle in her wheelchair carrying the urn that contained the remains of her beautiful daughter. I did have a brief conversation with her following the funeral mass and instinctively knew where her girls gathered their strength and compassion.
Please, pass our most sincere condolences on to your beautiful family and know that we keep you all in our thoughts and prayers as once again you embark on your personal grief journeys.
