Although our family did not know Brandon or the MacLeod family, we understand the pain and anguish that the MacLeod family is experiencing now. As a mom who lost her son to suicide ( a Halifax firefighter two years ago) I extend my deepest condolences to the MacLeod family at this horrible time.
Our family is always available through our newly formed charity Fight4Life at anytime if there is anything we can do.
We are so sorry for your loss.

Sandi, Roger and Elizabeth, we are so sorry for your loss. So sorry for the loss of one of the sweetest young men we have had the privilege to call friend. Brandon was always kind, spirited and proud. Never in a boastful way, just proud of who he was - your son and brother. If I could take away all or even an ounce of your pain I would. We will always hold our memories of Brandon as dear as we always have.
This photo is how I choose remember Brandon, since time and distance and just life have prevented me from getting to know the amazing man he grew to be, this is the amazing young man I remember. This was a good day.

I’ll never forget his amazing smile or laugh. He could light up the room & bring joy and a smile upon anyones face even through the darkest of times. He was one of the best friends anyone could have or ask for...always there when I needed a laugh, a cry, a hug, no questions asked, he was there and had a solution for everything. I had known Brandon the last 6 years, he was an exceptional man, as well as friend. He poured all of his heart & kindness into everything & everyone he loved. I’ll never forget all the conversations, singing and dancing along to our favorite songs, staying up all night talking, burnouts, races, roadtrips, anything we could do just to pass time and have a good time. I’ll never forget, I will cherish & hold those memories dear for the rest of my life.
I hope you have found your peace, rest easy & fly high... I love you and I’ll miss you forever Bran❤️
My deepest condolences to Sandi, Roger, and Lizzie...It’s hard to find words in this sorrowful time, my thoughts & prayers are with you all during this difficult time; wishing you peace to bring you comfort to face the days ahead and loving memories to forever hold in your heart.❤️

I taught Brandon for his 3 years in high school.i truly thought the world of him. He was one of the most respectful, pleasant , caring young man who I had the extreme pleasure of knowing. He always brought a smile to my face each time he came into my classroom. He was always the first person to volunteer when I needed help with anything.
Brandon would light up when he talked about fixing whatever Trans Am he was driving at the time or when he talked about becoming a fireman.
My heart breaks for Sandi, Roger and Lizzie. She was so proud of her big brother and loved telling everyone at school that she was his "little sister".
Brandon will live on in the hearts of those who were fortunate enough to have known him.I will carry fond memories of him with me and am proud of the joy he brought to me for the time that I knew him
My thoughts and prayers go out to each and every member of his family
Sincerely,
Sherry Cheek

Words cannot express our shock and absolute sadness in the loss of Brandon. Our hearts are broken for you and we are sure that right now it seems that nothing or no one can ease your pain. We can only hope that after the shock settles, and you have sufficient time to grieve, maybe then “the wonderful memories of his life spent with you” will fill your hearts, help you heal, and bring you peace. Our love, and thoughts and prayers are with you. May God be with you all.

As a former teacher of Brandon, he was one of those students who left a lasting impression and a standard of kindness for students following him. I was fortunate to have taught Brandon within multiple grade levels. He was always so pleasant, never complained, and always did what was asked of him. He wasn’t a student who shared a lot in class, but when he was able to talk about cars, becoming a fire fighter, and his plans for after high school you heard the passion and drive for his aspirations. I am so proud to read about what he was able to accomplish. I will always remember the year he joined the fire department. He was so proud to tell our class about it.
My absolute sincere condolences to Brandon’s family, friends, co-workers, Alma Fire department, and past classmates at NRHS.
Ms. Franc (NRHS)
