Obituary of Brandon MacLeod

Brandon William George MacLeod, age 22, of Stellarton passed away unexpectedly on September 27, 2020.

Born in New Glasgow, on October 19, 1997, he was the son of loving parents Roger and Sandi (Moore) MacLeod and sister Lizzie.

Brandon was a life-long resident of Stellarton. He graduated from Northumberland Regional High, Alma in 2016. Brandon was a devoted brother, a loving boyfriend and perfect son. Brandon had tremendous qualities, he was a talented, selfless, caring, supportive, honest, generous, loyal, responsible, thoughtful, smart, respectful, loving, family oriented young man who protected everyone he loved. Brandon had a true passion for cars and racing, his interests included cars, music, family, friends, cooking, racing, movies, video gaming, judo and boating just to name a few.

At a very early age Brandon knew he wanted to become a firefighter. He joined the Alma fire department on his 16th birthday and worked very hard to become a full-fledged firefighter. He achieved that at the early age of 18 and strived to better himself. Through training and dedication in February of this year he was promoted to the rank of lieutenant and took on the role of training officer.

A construction worker who specialized in concrete foundations, Brandon always took great pride and was a dedicated hardworking employee to Van Veld Brothers Construction. He loved to get up every morning, grab his huge lunch cooler and head off to spend the day with his work family. He loved the comradery of his friends/coworkers and especially took pride in becoming a boom truck operator and bettering himself. Brandon, the tire slayer's motto was race, break, fix, repeat. Lol

His "up to no good smirk" will be missed by all.

Besides his parents and sister, Brandon is survived by life partner Maria Frances Jones; maternal grandparents Clarence and Elizabeth Moore; parental grandparents Earl MacLeod and Barb Carpenter. Brandon had many aunts, uncles, cousins and close friends.

Brandon is resting at Eagles Funeral Home, Westville where VISITATIONS FOR THE PUBLIC WILL TAKE PLACE ON FRIDAY FROM 7-9 pm AND SATURDAY FROM 2-4 pm and 7-9 pm. MASKS ARE REQUIRED. A private funeral service will take place on Sunday, however will be streamed live on youtube at 2 pm Sunday. The link will be posted on Sunday morning.
