To Lou’s family
As a young child, I remember the visits to Riverview and camping trips with Mom & Dad (Thelma and Stan), Uncle Murray and Aunt Phylis to PEI a couple of times. I still have those childhood memories of visiting Lou and Ian, Bambi, Judy and I believe John was younger than us, but those are great memories to hold. MaryLou and I extend our deepest sympathy and condolences to all of Lou’s family and extended family members. May the blessings be.

My condolences to you Bambury, Judy, John and families. "The MacDonalds" were there in most of my (Elizabeth's) childhood memories. You were/ are both honorary family and lifetime friends. We remember Lou's pride of house and family, her great cooking, her love of the lake, "Lodge" events with Mom, dressed in formal dresses. In so many memories she and Ian are inseparable... card games (Canasta and 45's both), lobster nights (adults only), summers at camp with swims, cards and food. Life was good. Thank you Lou for sharing yours with us.

Lou has been in my life for nearly all my life. She acted as a second Mom when Mom wasn't around. I remember babysitting for Judy and Bambury when Lou and Ian had a night out which was usually spent playing cards with Mom and Dad. I remember being the one to wade into the lake to check the depths when Lou & Ian and Mom & Dad were looking at the lake lots they bought and built camps on. The card games in those camps where they let me win sometimes because I doubt I could have beat them on my own. Their approval of Leroy when they knew we were serious because Ian took me aside and told me he had their approval. Swimming at the lake at night with Ian and Lou's brother Dave and having them try to scare me by telling me the snakes only came in the lake at night. The great meals our families would have together because Lou and Mom were both great cooks. So much to remember and be Thankful for in a life well lived. Someday I'll see Lou again and until then I'm sure she's enjoying herself with Ian and family and friends. Thinking of you Bambury , Judy and John.

Lou was one of our mom's closest friends from a young age. As a family we enjoyed many visits over the years from them and to the various communities that Lou, Ian and family lived, always greeted with a warm welcome, card games and lots of fun. Lou was a gracious hostess and a sweet lady, loved by all. We will miss her. Bambury, Judy, John and families, let your great memories help you through this difficult time. Thinking of you all.

Nearly 70 years of wonderful memories! Piling our two families in Lou and Ian’s car for Sunday drives, games of 45s around the kitchen table at home and at “camp”, the beautiful white dresses for special lodge meetings, Lou’s delight at announcing a pregnancy, baseball games and picnics. The list goes on and on. I can picture the wonderful reunion in heaven with Mom & Dad, and Lou &Ian battling it out over a hard fought game of cards. Ian of course will bid 30 for 60, then 60 for 120, on the kitty. Then a plate of sandwiches and sweets made by Mom and Lou . Sincere condolences for your loss. They will live in our hearts and memories. Ed and Vi
