My sincere condolences to Ann’s family and friends.
I am very sorry I could not be with you in person today Wilf. Instead, I along with a couple of Ann’s long time friends at PEI and Nova Scotia lit candles in remembrance. Ann was always a good friend ~ it simply came natural to her. She could pull into the farm yard and didn’t matter if I wasn’t home, Not one bit! She’d be in the kitchen chatting with dad for hours. We all thought the world of her. There were many miles and many years passed between our phone calls, and I am incredibly grateful for our enduring friendship for it has not ended, it has only changed.
I pray for Ann’s repose, that she is at peace with her Holy Mother and her Holy Father, And I pray for all those who loved her dearly, that you are comforted by His promise of eternal life. Please, take good care of yourselves.

I will always think of Melmurby Beach and nice walks with Ann, playing games and laughing for hours.

I called Ann “Ma” forever because I knew if there was ever a woman that had my back as much as my own mother it was her. From the time I was 8 years old (now in my mid 30s), it never wavered and I was a demon child sometimes! She was an excellent cheerleader and had probably the most over the top reaction when she found out my partner and I were getting married.
I always felt welcomed at Ann and Wilf’s house, never felt judged and of course always left well fed.
I wish I could be home with everyone but please know, I’m sending you all love and strength ❤️

The MacKinnon family is deeply saddened by the passing of Ann, a dear friend and a kind, supportive person. She and Wilf could be counted on to be there to meet the needs of folks throughout the neighbourhood, to advocate for the Westville Progress Association, and to assist the Westville and Area Gardening Club at annual flower planting throughout the Town. An example of consistent helping was the time Wilf was repairing a very high moulded rain barrel with a narrow top for us. To put a new spigot on, it was necessary to attach both inside and out and Ann climbed in the small opening, disappeared and did the hardest task. She never ceased to amaze and will be remembered for many attributes. We extend our heartfelt condolences to Wilf and all those she felt so dear to her. R.I.P. Friend.

Our deepest condolences to all the family. We were blessed to visit Ann and Wilf in May. We had lots of fun sight seeing, talking about our mutual granddaughter, politics and so many other subjects. We dined at a new establishment and bought lobster at their local seafood store. Ann was a superb cook and a terrific hostess. She could crack lobster and extract the meat in no time. Being from central Ontario I always marvelled at her dexterity in this skill. Ann always had wise advice for her family whether it be in child rearing, culinary or life skills. We will miss her joy for life, her lovely smile and laugh. We have so many treasured memories of a determined, kind lady. Rest In peace Ann. A life well lived.
