Obituary of Geraldine Crockett

Geraldine Alice (Moore) Crockett

The death of Geraldine Alice (Moore) Crockett of Pictou and Hopewell occurred
on April 7th 2024 at the Maritime Oddfellows Home at the age of 95. Geraldine was born on August 27, 1928 in Linden NS to the late Wylie Moore and Grace (Mitchell) Moore. She trained and worked at the Aberdeen Hospital for over twenty years. She was a member of the Aberdeen Retired Nurses Association. Her kind, gentle ways were appreciated by many patients.

Geraldine was active in First Church Hopewell, and the community, working at church suppers and a member of the Church Guild. She was also a member of the Silver Light Rebecca Lodge of Hopewell. She loved attending Women's Institute in Fox Brook especially helping out at the annual quilt show - showing some of her beautiful quilts and making her fruit jello for desserts. She enjoyed all the meetings with her "WI" friends. She was often called upon to "help" someone within the community and would quietly show up with food and her nursing skills.

Geradine is survived by her sons Arthur (Christina), Gagetown; David (Leanne), South Carolina; daughters Bonnie (Lawrance) Langille, River John; Judith (Hank) Haslam, Westville; Wendy (James) Saunders, Beaver Bank: Sherri (Kevin) Hicks, Saint John; 17 grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great grandchildren; sister Edith (John) Weeks, Alberta; many nieces and nephews. Besides her parents, she was predeceased by her husband Struan, brothers David (Beth) and Andrew (Inez) Moore; sisters Louise Moore, Kay (Don) Logan, Elva (James) Sinnis; daughters-in-law Beverly and Deborah Crockett.

Visitations will be held from 2-4 and 7-9pm Wednesday April 10th, 2024 in Eagles Funeral Home, Westville, NS. Funeral Service will be held at 2pm Thursday April 11th 2024 in 1st Presbyterian Church, Hopewell, NS.  Burial will be in Hopewell Cemetery,
