Obituary of Robert MacKeloney Marshall
Robert “Bob” MacKeloney Marshall
It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Robert “Bob” MacKeloney Marshall on January 12th, 2025, at age 84.
He was born on September 26th, 1940 in Thorburn, Nova Scotia to John and Alexina Marshall.
Bob spent 36 years with the Royal Canadian Armed Forces. He started with the Blackwatch, and then completed two tours, one in Cyprus and in Golan Heights, Syria. His military career started in Gagetown, NB, later taking him to Germany, Moncton, back to Gagetown, and Calgary before he ending his career in Miramichi where he and Marion called home. In his free time, Bob also enjoyed the outdoors, especially hunting with his sons.
Bob is survived by his wife Marion (Sinnis) Marshall, Miramichi, NB; sons Stephen (Connie) Marshall, Greenwood, NS and Martin Marshall, Miramichi, NB; brothers Jack (Judy) Marshall, Howard (Jean) Marshall, Paul Marshall, and sister Jaclyn (Jack) Fanning. He is also survived by his grandchildren Kimberly Marshall, Victoria, BC, Katelynn (Damian Smith) Marshall, Middleton, NS and Brandon and Jessica Marshall (James MacMillan), Miramichi, NB; and great-grandchild Eric Smith.
Bob was predeceased by his brother Joey Marshall.
Visitation will be held from 1:00-2:00pm on January 15th, 2025 at Eagles Funeral Home Chapel with a service to follow at 2:00pm with Rev. Andrew MacDonald officiating.
