Dear Gus & Family, I read about Leo's passing today and it made me quite sad. I haven't seen him in many years but I've thought about him and my other Pictou County coaches much over the recent past. Leo was always the epitome of patience with me. He and my dad struggled to help me find a way to find the strike zone however without much success. What Leo and the others did succeed in teaching me were life lessons and values that I try to live by every day. Thank-you for sharing Leo with all of us. I wish I could have said that to him.

Dear Gus and Lynne,
We wanted you to know that we are thinking of you at this time. Your Dad was a truly wonderful man, by all accounts! Gus, you look so much like him! We know he had been sick but it is very difficult to lose a much loved parent at any time.
We know that your wonderful memories of him will be a great comfort going forward.
Love and sympathy,
John and Judy Briand

Dear Mr. Fahey I am very sorry to here of Leo's passing. He was a very nice person.
I have a lot of memories of him being there in gym class when we went to the rink or playing baseball. He was so passionate about sports and staying in shape. I don't think I have ever seen someone his age in the shape he was. He was certainly someone to lookup to and a great roll model to those who have ever got the chance to meet him. I have a lot of respect you and your dad. I send along my deepest sympathies to you and your family. We have certainly lost a great man.

Was sorry to learn of Leo's recent passing and send along condolences and sympathy to you and all the family.Like Leo landed in Pictou Co. As a CB 'immigrant' and was Warmly welcomed into the Pictou County family.
One of the first people I met was Leo out front of the pool hall, introduced by Bob Stewart who was instrumental in. My move to teach the Balmoral pipe band. And then meeting your dear late mother as the the gracious hostess at the Norfolk. Both have left their lasting marks on the Pic.Co.community.They will be long remembered and memories cherished by all who knew them. They leave a wonderful legacy.
Sincerely,
JackMacIsaac
